KALAHI aid reaches Talacogon's river village

Situated on the outskirts of the Agusan Marsh and on the banks of the mighty Agusan River, Barangay Maharlika is one of the remote villages of the municipality of Talacogon in Agusan del Sur province. Most of the houses are built on stilts and on raft as the area is very prone to flooding. Fishing and farming are the main livelihood of the residents, mostly members of the Manobo tribe.

KALAHI CIDSS - NCDDP AF officially launched in Mindanao

Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched the Mindanao cluster Additional Financing (AF) for the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Integrated Delivery of Social Services National Community Driven Development Program (KALAHI CIDSS - NCDDP) on Sept. 6, 2021 at Manuel Resort in the municipality of Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

Pasil LGU receives PhP 6 Million worth of Isolation Facilities

Cordillera Administrative Region- The Local Government Unit of Pasil in Kalinga Province received a Municipal Isolation Facility on 26 August 2021. Implemented under the Department of Social Welfare and Development's Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services - National Community Driven Development Program (KALAHI CIDSS - NCDDP), the facility has a floor area of 225 square meter with ten individual isolation rooms and a nurse’s station.

KALAHI-CIDSS Additional Financing launched in Luzon

Legazpi City, Albay - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) officially launched the Additional Financing (AF) of the Kapit-Bisig sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services - National Community-Driven Development Program (KALAHI CIDSS - NCDDP) for the Luzon Cluster on 22 July, 2020 at the Hotel St. Ellis in Legazpi City, Albay.

Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa sends more families home

In spite of the travel limitations and restrictions brought by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa (BP2) program, implemented in part by the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Kalahi-CIDSS program, continues to fulfill its mandate of boosting countryside development by assisting eligible families in returning to their home province.

On June 3-4, 2021, the BP2 program sent off 13 eligible families back to Leyte as part of its latest batch of beneficiaries; bringing this year’s total number of families sent off by the program to 55.
