Quezon City, Philippines - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the World Bank concluded the 12th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) for the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) National Community-Driven Development Program (NCDDP) on Friday, May 28, 2021.
The Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is set to continue empowering communities to achieve improved access to social services, and to participate in more inclusive local planning, budgeting, and implementation with the approval of the additional financing for Kalahi-CIDSS.
Quezon City - The bill seeking to institutionalize Community-Driven Development (CDD) and Kalahi-CIDSS takes another step forward into becoming a law as the technical working group (TWG) created for the CDD bill under the House of Representatives’ Committee on Poverty Alleviation finalized the substitute CDD bill on 18 September 2020, in preparation for deliberations and approval by the said committee.
