The facility will include medical equipment and amenities and will serve as the isolation facility for probable and confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Almeria’s 13 Barangays.
The Municipal Isolation facility is a community-based disaster response project being implemented under KALAHI-CIDSS, a flagship anti-poverty and community empowerment program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The communities of Almeria decided to prioritize the construction of an isolation facility to address the adverse effects of the pandemic, implement preventive measure against the spread of COVID-19, and ensure safety among the people, especially the vulnerable sectors.
The project, which is located in Barangay Jamorawon, Almeria, will benefit 4,486 households from all the town’s barangays.
The facility costs a total of Php 12, 765, 750 with the Local Government Unit of Almeria sharing a local counterpart contribution of Php 2,595,150.
