Kung ang babae ay isang nanay, inaasahan siyang maging tagapangalaga ng mga anak at asawa, manguna sa gawaing bahay, at maging source ng emotional support ng kaniyang mahal sa buhay. Ang mga ito ay tinatawag na unpaid care work at malimit itong hindi binibigyang halaga sa lipunan; palagiang idinadahilan ang gampaning ito upang patuloy na mapigilang magamit ng kababaihan ang kanilang karapatan para sa sariling pagpapasya at pagdedesisyon.
